About the show

A new theatrical adaptation based on the award-winning Classical Kids compact disc Beethoven Lives Upstairs!. The story of a young boy who develops a reluctant friendship with a peculiar piano-pounding madman by the name of Ludwig van Beethoven.
The arrival of an eccentric boarder turns a young boy’s life upside down. Ludwig van Beethoven has moved in upstairs! At first Christoph resents their new tenant but slowly he comes to understand the genius of the man, the torment of his deafness and the beauty of his music. Beethoven Lives Upstairs introduces some of the composer’s most memorable works, including the Moonlight Sonata, Fur Elise, and the great Fifth and Ninth Symphonies, in a beautiful and engaging play for the whole family.
