James Lavoie

James is a Montreal based designer for live performance. He holds a master’s degree in scenography/ performance design and practice from Central Saint Martin’s in the UK. He is a four time recipient of the Montreal English Critic’s Circle Award for his design work and is also a coach at the for the 3rd year scenography students at the National Theatre School of Canada. Recent projects include; set and costume design for Romeo and Juliet (Repercussion Theatre), A Daily Miracle and Fatherland (Infinitheatre), Down From Heaven (Imago Theatre), With Bated Breath (Centaur Theatre), Bliss (National Theatre School Director’s program) and costume design for : Harvey (Segal Center) A Christmas Carol (Geordie Productions), In Piazza San Domenico (Centaur Theatre).
