Bill is a Chartered Financial Analyst and began his career in 1986. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University and a M.B.A. degree from McGill University. In 1984/85, while completing his M.B.A., he attended the Ecoles des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Paris. Bill was formerly Managing Partner of AMI Private Capital, responsible for the Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver offices from 1993 to 1996. He was Vice-President of Newcastle Capital Management from 1991 to 1993, a firm specializing in the use of derivative products. As Past President of the Montreal Society of Financial Analysts, and an executive committee member of the Canadian Council of Financial Analysts, Bill plays an active role in the Canadian financial community. He has written numerous articles and has been a guest speaker for many international events.
Bill’s community involvement is extensive. He is President of the Board of Geordie Productions, a former Director of Loyola High School Foundation, a Board Member of the University Club of Montreal, a former President of CFA Montreal from 1996-1997, and Canadian Presidents’ Council Representative from 2000-2004. He is the Chair of the Investment Committee of the Pillars Trust Fund, and a member of the Young Presidents Organisation. His interests include fishing, and coaching kids in soccer and curling. He is an active supporter of the Montreal Children’s Hospital, and the McCord Museum.
