Geordie Theatre School is always in session, even when your kid or teen’s school is closed for the holidays! Offering Theatre Camps of all kinds, from March Break camps to summer camps, and more, we’re here to keep your young performer entertained and engaged.
Financial Assistance
Geordie Theatre School offers a bursary fund to benefit youth from families with lower economic backgrounds, increasing access to engage in the performing arts with passionate and caring professional educators and artists. For more information, visit the GTS Bursary Fund Page.
MARCH BREAK CAMP 2025
The GTS March Break Camp engages kids in the limitless possibilities of theatre as they explore some of the coolest elements needed to put on their very own show.
Campers will be introduced to playwriting, designing, constructing, and performing! Working as a team they will use their new-found skills to create their own play which will be shared at the end of the week in front of family and friends.
Maximum 12 – 20 participants.

March 3rd to 7th, 2025
Daily from 8:30am – 4:30pm
WHERE:
This year the GTS March Break Camp will take place at the historic St. Denis Campus of the National Theatre School of Canada (5050 Saint Denis St, Montreal, QC H2J 2L8)
WHAT TO EXPECT EACH DAY:
- 8:30am – 9am = Drop off (@ NTS St Denis Campus)
- 9am – 10am = Warm Up Activity
- 10am – 12pm = Core Theatre Activity
- 12pm – 1pm = LUNCH (w Outside Play)
- 1pm – 3pm = Core Theatre Activity
- 3pm – 4pm = Free Activity
- 4pm – 4:30pm = Pick up (@ NTS St Denis Campus)

SUMMER CAMP 2025
The GTS Summer Camp engages campers in the limitless possibilities of theatre as they explore some of the coolest elements needed to put on their very own show.
Each week will be self-contained, with its own specific focus and separate performance. Previous camps have focused on: clowning, storytelling, shadow puppets, Greek mythology, mask-making, fairy tales, improv, and more.
To cap off each week, campers will perform their final creation at the end of day of Friday to a supporting audience of family and friends!
This year, ths GTS Summer Camp will be offered to 2 separate age groups: Ages 6 to 9 and ages 10 to 12.
Maximum 12 – 20 participants per week.

- Writing their own play;
- Designing their own set, costume elements, lights and sound;
- Craft activities to build various sets, props, and costume elements;
- Lots of theatre games;

SUMMER CAMP AT THE NATIONAL THEATRE SCHOOL (NTS)
Following on from our successful March Break Camp in partnership with the National Theatre School of Canada (NTS), we will once again be running a camp week this summer at the NTS St-Denis Campus.
Like our other weeks of camp, campers will explore some of the coolest elements of theatre needed to put on their very own show. The week will be self-contained with its own specific focus. Previous camps have focused on: clowning, storytelling, shadow puppets, Greek mythology, mask-making, fairy tales, improv, and more.
To cap off the week, campers will perform their final creation at the end of day Friday to a supporting audience of family and friends!
For this 5th week of camp at the National Theatre School, 2 separate age groups will run simultaneously: Ages 6 to 9 and ages 10 to 12.
Maximum 12 – 15 participants per group.

At the historic St. Denis Campus of the National Theatre School of Canada (5050 Saint Denis St, Montreal, QC H2J 2L8)
WHAT CAMPERS CAN EXPECT:
- Writing their own play;
- Designing their own set, costume elements, lights and sound;
- Craft activities to build various sets, props, and costume elements;
- Lots of theatre games;
- Outside play;
- And, of course, performing!
- Activities are conducted in English but students of all language levels are encouraged to participate.
