Montreal St-Henri Classes
Children and teens explore how to create fascinating characters, build exciting stories, and present them to an encouraging audience of family, friends, and community supporters.
Each year GTS offers two sessions with classes being offered on Thursdays and Sundays. Registration for the Fall Session begins mid-August, with classes running from mid-September to mid-December, ending with an in-class final presentation. Registration for the Winter Session begins in November with classes running from February to May, ending in a final performance at a local theatre.
FALL SESSION 2026
Our Fall Session of weekly classes runs for 12 weeks from September 20th until December 13th. The session culminates with an open class where family and friends are invited to join us to see what we’ve been learning and creating over the session. This might include improvised scenes, a variety of theatre activities, or a full play – with everything coming from the imaginations of the students it could be anything!
Join us for 12 exciting weeks of theatre where kids and teens will experience the joys of theatre, make new friends, see their ideas come to life, and all while having fun!
All classes will take place at the Geordie PlayLab in St-Henri (4700 Rue Dagenais, Montréal, QC H4C 1L7), which is easily accessible by car or public transit.

Financial Assistance
Geordie Theatre School offers a bursary fund to benefit youth from families with lower economic backgrounds, increasing access to engage in the performing arts with passionate and caring professional educators and artists. Families can apply for a partial or full bursary.

GTS JUNIORS
Ages 5 & 6 – NEW CLASS
Sundays 9:30am – 10:30am
With a focus on encouraging creativity, working together, becoming different characters and playing with storytelling, students will learn how to share ideas and invent scenes through play and teamwork.
Maximum 10 students per class.
Cost: $240/session (Early-Bird $216)

Ages 7 to 9
Sundays 11:00am – 12:30pm
Students will channel their imagination, work as an ensemble, and dive into character and story creation while sharing their ideas and inventing scenes together through play and guided improvisation.
Maximum 12 students per class.
Cost: $360/session (Early-Bird $324)

Ages 10-12 Beginner
Sundays 1:00pm – 2:30pm
While working on building and engaging their imagination, students will explore the importance of ensemble, the development of characters, story-building, and trusting their impulses through improvisation.
Maximum 12 students per class.

Ages 10-12 Advanced
Sundays 3:00pm – 4:30pm
While developing a strong group ensemble, students will work on challenging their imaginations, developing more complex characters, better understanding the structure of a story, and further trusting their creative impulses.

GTS TEENS
Teens
Thursdays 6pm – 8pm
While encouraging creativity and developing their acting abilities through a variety of theatre exercises, teens will explore character, body/voice awareness, ensemble, and improvisation.
Maximum 14 teens per class.
Cost: $410/session (Early-Bird $360)

Teen Ensemble
Tuesdays 6:00pm – 8:00pm NEW DATE & TIME
The Teen Ensemble is a unique opportunity for teens who are interested in potentially pursuing acting and who want to grow as performers. The full-year program will bridge the gap between skill-building and professional development, providing teens with a more hands-on experience in theatre performance.
The program will include movement & vocal techniques, script & character analysis, audition techniques, regular guest artist teachers/speakers, and an outing to Montreal theatre production.
The program will culminate in a final performance in front of family, friends, invited community members, and agents.
Cost: $925/session (Early-bird: $832.50)

No Classes: TBC
A maximum of 10 teens will be accepted into the Teen Ensemble. Acceptance is limited to those teens who have done a teen class before, who have proven their commitment, and is subject to approval by the teacher and the GTS Creative Director.
