P.E.T.S. After-School Classes
What could be better than exploring
all the fun theatre has to offer?
Doing so in the comfort of your own school! With GTS After-School Classes, students explore how to create fascinating characters, build exciting stories, and then present them to an encouraging audience of family, friends, and community supporters.
We are excited to return to P.E.T.S. with both Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 sessions, offering theatre games and exercises that explore characters, storytelling, and working as a team! Each session involved the creation of a final group performance that came from the imaginations of the students and was presented to family and friends.
Financial Assistance
Geordie Theatre School offers a bursary fund to benefit youth from families with lower economic backgrounds, increasing access to engage in the performing arts with passionate and caring professional educators and artists. For more information, visit the GTS Bursary Fund Page.

Grades 1 & 2
With a focus on encouraging creativity, working as an ensemble, exploring characters and playing with storytelling, students will learn how to share ideas and invent scenes through play and teamwork.
Cost: $235 – 12 week session
Location: Pierre Elliott Trudeau Elementary School
Class Dates: Tuesday February 3rd – Tuesday April 28th (no class March 3rd); 2:25pm to 3:25pm
End of Year GTS Cabaret: The Winter Session will culminate in our popular end of year GTS Cabaret the weekend of May 2nd & 3rd!
Maximum 12 students per class
Grades 3 & 4
Students will channel their imagination, work as an ensemble, and dive into character and story creation while sharing their ideas and inventing scenes together through play and guided improvisation.
Cost: $235 – 12 week session

Class Dates: Thursday February 5th – Thursday April 30th (no class February 26th & March 5th); 2:25pm to 3:25pm
End of Year GTS Cabaret: The Winter Session will culminate in our popular end of year GTS Cabaret the weekend of May 2nd & 3rd!

Grades 5 & 6
While working on building and engaging the imagination, students will explore the importance of ensemble, the development of more complex characters, story-building, and a deeper understanding of working with their impulses.
Cost: $235 – 12 week session
